Combat Advising

The term "Combat Advising" can mean many things to various groups of people. To someone in the U.S. Army Special Forces it generally means that a Special Forces Operational Detachment "A" is conducting a 'train, advise, and assist' mission with a foreign indigenous military force - usually at company or battalion level.
