vocabulary, documentation, correspondence, and publications. This
glossary is intended to aid those unfamiliar with specific special
operations terminology.

WATCHCON. Watch Condition.
Weapons Man. Slang for a
Special Forces Weapons Sergeant or 18B.
WFF. War Fighting Function.
WGS. World Geodetic System.
WIA. Wounded in Action.
WIC. Web Information Center.
A computer-based web application where SOF units could post information,
reports and documents into selected folders. Used in the early 2000s
but use has discontinued for the most part. Replaced by Microsoft
SharePoint portals.
WMD. Weapons of Mass
Destruction. What we didn't find in Iraq.
WP. White Phosphorus.
As in WP grenade; sometimes referred to as "Willie Pete". See
white phosphorus by WikipediA.
WTU. Warrior Transition
Unit. Don't go there!
